iCode Systems have produced i-Catcher - the award-winning CCTV system solution software
for Windows PCs.
i-Catcher is used by over 100,000 people worldwide for CCTV and surveillance, utilising
advanced motion detection technology coupled with standard Windows desktop PCs to
monitor and record from a wide variety of cameras and video sources.
Flexibility without confusion
i-Catcher's popularity is due to total flexibility of system configuration, whilst
maintaining a simple-to-use user interface. This allows i-Catcher to be used "out
of the box" with little to no configuration for the novice user, whilst the expert
can adjust every aspect precisely according to application. This increases i-Catcher's
appeal to both home-users setting up a simple webcam or security camera through
to our many CCTV partners and resellers throughout the world.
Suitability of applications
The i-Catcher product range is designed to maximise the features of a full CCTV
system. While the base applications provide the core CCTV monitoring and recording
support through the single-camera Sentry and multi-camera Console, the i-Catcher
product range includes numerous support applications providing multi-point monitoring
via i-Catcher Monitor/PocketMonitor, and distributed video sources via i-Catcher
Video Server. This covers the whole process from camera to CCTV monitor.
Distributed video processing
i-Catcher is designed from the outset to support a distributed processing model,
utilising standard Windows networks as the communication path. A large CCTV system
can be split between computers by running the i-Catcher Sentry client at points
closest to the camera locations. These clients then feed back into a Central console
which performs the final recording, easing processor usage by spreading the load.
Web Intergration
i-Catcher integrates with your web presence in many ways, by FTP upload and various
types of live video stream. i-Catcher can be used as a standalone CCTV system on
the internet, or can be integrated transparently into your website. i-Catcher is
not limited to live streams - the web interface provided can also be used as a playback
system, all while continually monitoring and recording.
